Wow, this is harder than I thought. It's hard for me to pick. I didn't realize that I had had so many vacations to enjoy. After much thought, I will have to say that going back to see my grandparents in France when I was 12 was probably something I will always remember. Mainly because I hadn't seen them since I was 4 and didn't really remember them. We stayed for a month and it was very, very hard to leave. It was also very, very hard at first to communicate with our family as they didn't speak English and I didn't speak French. But love is communicated in many many ways. We did go back every 4 years after that, but I think that initial vacation held the most memories. Plus we went to Paris and that is always memborable.
I saw the coolest thing this weekend. We were watching the ice skating contests and my husband yelled out. "look at the woman knitting in the crowd" Of course I had to look up from my knitting to see her, but there she was. She was not looking at her knitting and going so fast. We were amazed. My husband states, " you don't knit that fast and without looking'. Dah, that's why I watch ice skating at home, where no one sees me. So we were more interested in trying to see this lady knitting instead of the ice skaters. Go figure. Score one for knitters everywhere!!!

Cocoa Swap Question
Most random memory from Childhood. I'd have to say that what immediately popped into my mind was playing "Big Valley" with my younger brother and a girlfriend in the neighborhood. We'd love to pretend that we were the family in Big Valley. My friend and I always fought over who was going to Audra. Then who ever didn't win would be Heath. My brother was always the older brother, Adam. ( that's what I think his name was). We'd pretend that we lived on a ranch and had horses and a huge house to live in. So I don't realy know where that came from, but that is my random memory. We had a two hour delay today because of snow/ice hitting us right at drive time. I LOVE two hour delays... get to sleep in and the day goes so fast. I forgot that I am teaching a CPR class tonight right after school to two teachers, but it shouldn't take too long. My youngest is now wrestling. Don't know where that came from He is in 6th grade and can wrestle with the JR. High 7th and 8th graders. He's lost 5 pounds in a week. He comes home so tired that he barely eats his supper. I am glad that he wanted to try and do it and is sticking with it. He loves to play sports and I think he is going to give them all a try.
On the knitting front, I am finally getting some projects completed. We got a new camera and I am going to try and teach myself how to put them on the blog and show all of you my handi work. I have started new projects, seemed there for awhile all I was knitting was socks, but now I am taking off with other projects. WE have TWO new yarn stores that just opened up in the last month. It was been wonderful to get to feel and smell and hold yarn again. I am afraid that they think that I am stalking them. What a great way to start the year. The one yarn store is so friendly and made me feel so welcome. Needless to say, they will be getting my business. Hope you are staying warm and enjoying your needles.

Cocoa Swap Questionnarie
Cocoa:
1. What is your favorite way to drink hot cocoa? Prepared with milk or water? Home recipe or store bought? In a teacup or a big mug?
I love to drink hot cocoa with my children when they have come in from playing in the snow. Their cheeks are all red and I know this is a special memory for me and them. I am not picky about hot cocoa, I like it any way. However, I tend to make it with a little more cocoa then recommended. I like it chocolately. Of course in a big steamy mug.
2. Marshmallows or whipped cream? I am a marshmallow girl (in more ways than one). I like whipped cream, but never really have it on hand to use.
Yarn/Knitting/Crocheting?
1. Favorite type of yarn? Right now I am a sock yarn fanatic. I love knitting socks. I tend to like the superwash but will try anything.
2.Do you knit or crochet? I only knit
3. What is your favorite type of needles? Right now I am into circulars for magic loop for making socks. I am a loose knitter and tend to use only size 1 or 0. I do love my bamboo DPNs also.
*Would you like to try something new? Of course
4. Do you have a healthy supply of notions? Not many stitch markers or needle case especially for my circular needles.
5. What one thing do you keep thinking you need to buy for your knitting habit? Probably a needle case for my circular needles, they are escaping at an alarming rate..
6. What is your favorite quick knit pattern? Either socks or dishcloths, I really like to do dishcloths for a no-brainer kind of night.

I am a school nurse and my favorite thing is a snow day, where I sleep in under my toasty flanner comforter, Then get up and make coffee and look outside at the weather.
